LAB CAST FILM EXTRUSION LINE
Lab scale sheet extrusion system is a compact and versatile setup designed for research, product development, and small-batch trials. It is mainly used in laboratories and R&D centers to study material behavior, optimize processing parameters, and develop new sheet formulations before scaling up to full production. The system allows precise control over temperature, screw speed, and output, which helps in achieving consistent and repeatable results during experimentation.
The process starts with feeding polymer granules into a small single-screw or twin-screw extruder, where the material is melted and homogenized under controlled conditions. The molten polymer is then passed through a flat T-die to form a uniform sheet with adjustable width and thickness. Downstream equipment such as chill rolls or a polishing stack is used to cool, smooth, and calibrate the sheet surface, ensuring good finish and dimensional stability.

Lab scale sheet extrusion machines are suitable for processing a wide range of thermoplastics such as PVC, PET, PP, PS, and specialty polymers. Due to their compact design, low material consumption, and easy parameter adjustment, they are ideal for material testing, quality evaluation, and training purposes. This system provides a reliable platform for simulating actual production conditions on a smaller, cost-effective scale.
